Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PingForge, operated by Layered Labs. By using PingForge, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

PingForge is an uptime monitoring service with screenshot evidence. We monitor your websites and APIs, capture screenshots when issues are detected, and send alerts through your preferred channels (email, Slack, Discord).

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.

3. Free and Paid Plans

PingForge offers a free plan with limited features and paid plans with additional capabilities. Free plans include up to 3 monitors. Paid plans unlock more monitors, faster check intervals, and additional features. We reserve the right to modify plan features with reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to overload, disrupt, or harm any monitored website or server.
  • Monitor URLs you do not own or have permission to monitor.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or abuse the free tier.
  • Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Resell or redistribute the service without our written consent.

5. Payment Terms

All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, taxes, and invoicing on our behalf. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Paddle's terms of service. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Free plans do not include any Service Level Agreement (SLA). Paid plans include best-effort uptime commitments. We are not liable for any losses caused by service interruptions or downtime.

7. Limitation of Liability

PingForge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layered Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use of PingForge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Korea.
